Word Arrow Block plays offline, but its optional daily competition — Global Circuit — creates an account on our server when you enter it. This page explains how to delete that account and everything in it. If you never entered Global Circuit, you have no account with us and nothing to delete: uninstalling the app removes your local progress and that is the whole of it.
Delete it from inside the game — the fastest way
You do not need to ask us, and you do not need to wait for us.
- Open Word Arrow Block.
- Open Settings.
- Tap DELETE ALL DATA.
- Confirm on the card that appears.
That is the whole process. It takes effect immediately. If your device is offline when you confirm, the request is held and sent the next time the app can reach us — you do not have to remember to do it again.
This is not a reset, and it cannot be undone. There is a separate "reset progress" option if what you want is to start the game over while keeping your account. Delete All Data ends the account. Nothing is archived, and no one — including us — can put it back.
What gets deleted
Everything we hold that relates to you, removed in one single operation:
- your account itself, and your gamertag, which is released for anyone else to use;
- your country code;
- every daily result — each solve time, each attempt, each mode, every day;
- every weekly standing row;
- your trophies, achievement flags, puzzles-solved counters and streaks;
- your sign-in identifiers — the anonymous device key and, if you used them, the Game Center and Play Games links;
- your sessions, so the app is signed out at the same moment;
- the archive that a previous "reset progress" left behind, which is otherwise the one thing we keep so support can undo a reset. A deletion destroys it too.
On your own device, the same action wipes your local level progress and achievement store, then deletes and re-creates the device key, so nothing left on the phone points at what was erased. The next time you open the game you are a new anonymous player, and signing in with Game Center or Play Games again creates a brand-new account rather than recovering the old one.
The one thing deletion does not reach
We want to be straightforward about this rather than leave you to discover it.
Standings that were already published for a day or a week that has finished are not rewritten. Global Circuit publishes each settled day's and week's table as a fixed record, and those records are never regenerated. If you appeared on one, that entry stays.
Three things about it that we think make it reasonable, and that you are entitled to weigh for yourself:
- Such an entry carries only a gamertag, a two-letter country code and a time. It holds no account identifier, no sign-in identifier and no record of when you played, and there is nothing in it that can be traced back to you or to an account that no longer exists.
- It is a record of a competition other people also took part in — the result of a day's race — rather than a profile we hold about you. Rewriting history would change their results too.
- It drops out of every live view in the game within a week, as the day and the week it belongs to scroll out of the standings the app shows.
Everything we hold about you is destroyed. If a published entry is nonetheless a problem for you — for instance because a gamertag you used identifies you — write to us and we will deal with it individually.
Separately, our hosting provider Cloudflare keeps its own short-term request logs, as any host does. Those are theirs and we cannot edit them; we do not receive them and we hold no record linking a network address to an account.
Already uninstalled the game? Email us
The in-app button is the only automated route, deliberately: an endpoint on the open web whose success case destroys someone's account is not something we are willing to put up. So if the app is already gone from your device, we will do it by hand.
Email contact@heptagames.com from an address we can reply to, ask us to delete your Word Arrow Block account, and — this is the important part — tell us the gamertag you played under — the name shown on the Global Circuit standings.
Why we have to ask for your gamertag: we hold no email address for you and never did, so an email alone does not tell us which account is yours. The gamertag is the only handle either of us has. If you have forgotten it, tell us anything you can — roughly when you played, which mode, the country flag on your row — and we will do our best. If you still have the app installed, please use the in-app button instead: it is instant, and it does not require us to identify you at all.
We will confirm by reply and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying which account is yours, and normally much sooner. Reinstalling the app before you write to us does not recover the old account unless you sign back in with the same Game Center or Play Games account.
Other rights, and other games
Deletion is one of several rights you have over your data. To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to get a copy, see Section 13 of the Privacy Policy or write to the address above.
